2007 is also the Year of the AOH Pipe and Drum Band. Brothers Mike O'Connor and Bill Cardinal are cracking the whip, with the pipers and drummers now practicing and marching together for the first time at the First Beach Rotunda. They moved to two practices a week in preparation for the lead in this year's St. Patrick's Day Parade. March 3rd, The AOH Pipe and Drum Band Sneak Preview Party was held at the Hibernian Hall. It consisted of the Pipe and Drum Band multi-media presentation, band member induction ceremony and concert. Our Pipers and Drummers worked very hard for almost two years to prepare for this moment. It is truly Division #1 Hibernian history in the making! March 10th, the Pipes & Drums made their first out-of-town appearance at the Providence St. Patrick's Day Parade. On March 17th, the Pipes & Drums proudly led the Hibernians in our local parade. The band performed in the Tall Ships Parade on June 30th, and the Bristol 4th of July Parade.
