AOH DIVISION SCHOLARSHIPS

The Ancient Order of Hibernians, Dennis E Collins Division 1 Scholarship Program.

The Scholarship applications are reviewed and awarded by the AOH Scholarship Committee to students that meet the following criteria:

 

Eligible recipients must be meet the following requirements:

  • Students must be of Irish birth or descent,

  • Students must be able to demonstrate excellence in their high school and community life,

  • Student has a qualifying financial need,

  • Students who plan on or who plan on entering their first year of an accredited  college, university or trade school.

  • Be children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces or nephews of a member in good standing of the AOH Dennis Collins Division 1, in Newport, RI.

 

Applicants should be prepared to provide the following information:

  • Student transcripts

  • Two letters of recommendation

  • A statement of financial need

  • Description of Irish Catholic Heritage

  • Family affiliation with the Ancient Order of Hibernian

 

All scholarship applications must be submitted by 31 May 2023. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

 

Applicants should receive an acknowledgement from the scholarship committee once a submitted application has been received.

 

Applicants should contact the chairman of the scholarship committee if they have not received an acknowledgement receipt within 10 days of application submission.
